Our story dates back to 1992 in 'old Italy' when we opened up a company
called Redwood. Since then, we have worked in Milan, Venice, and Genoa
for 15 years installing, restoring, sanding, and finishing all kinds of wood
flooring. We worked with many exotic (and less exotic) species of wood, such as Iroko, Teak, Wengè, Afrormosia, Italian Walnut.  will find pictures of some of the wood flooring we installed back in Italy. Perhaps because the name of the company in Italy was 'Redwood'--trees that 'old Italy' lacks--we felt an irresistible attraction towards the New World and more specifically, towards California. So, in 2003 we created a company named The Magic of Wood, Inc. and officially started our operations at the end of August 2004, in San Francisco, where we completed our very first job in the US. (Job completed in Nevada City, Ca, March 2009) So, here we are, offering the same services and the same quality we used to offer to our clients in Italy. Why are so we special? Because we give free estimates even in this economy, no matter how far away the
